At recently held 6 th Annual Conference of Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology and Head Neck Surgery with 11th SAARC ENT Conference in Delhi, Dr.Madan Kapre was awarded Life time Achievement Award/Honorary Fellowship of the Academy.

Dr. Madan Kapre, renowned ENT and Head and Neck Surgeon and Managing Director Neeti Clinics Nagpur is popularly known in the National ENT fraternity as “Thyroid Man of India”. Indian Society for Thyroid Surgeons founded by Dr.Madan Kapre is being recognized internationally. Asia Pacific Thyroid Society approached Dr Madan
Kapre to hold their next conference in collaboration with Indian Society of Thyroid Surgeons .Dr Kapre’s Thyroid Surgical Videos and Atlas of Thyroid Surgery co-authored by him with Dr.Devendra Mahore and Dr. Ashutosh Mangalgiri prove as a guide for young Thyroid Surgeons. The Annual Thyroid Surgical Workshop conducted for tribals of Melghat has now got worldwide recognition. Apart from stalwarts of the country,eminent thyroid surgeons like Prof Gregory Randolph from Boston USA, Dr.Kyung Tae from Seoul South Korea,Prof Neil Tolley from St Mary’s Hospital London have participated in the Thyroid Workshop. Dr Madan Kapre is also Founder Executive Member, Asia Pacific Thyroid Society and Member International Steering Committee “Intra Operative Nerve Monitoring in Thyroid Surgery”
