DIGISOL launches the new Gigabit Managed Switch with 8 PoE Port, specially for Surveillance and SMB wireless infrastructures

  • Introduces DG-GS1510HPL, the perfect combination of efficiency and convenience

DIGISOL the networking brand of Smartlink Network Systems Ltd. has introduced its 8 port PoE,  Lite Managed Switch. The DG-GS1510HPL is the most compact (height: 2.65 cm) managed, cost-effective PoE switch with powerful software and security features. It supports 8 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, along with 2 Gigabit SFP ports. As well as IPv4 and IPv6 features, the DG-GS1510HPL supports L3 static routing*. The DG-GS1510HPL includes the best green-saving technologies (IEEE 802.3az and Green-Ethernet). Using the Energy Efficient Ethernet standard, the switch automatically decreases power usage when network traffic is low.

IEEE 802.1w Rapid Spanning Tree Protocolprovides a loop-free network and redundantlinks to the core network with rapidconvergence, which ensures a faster recoveryfrom failed links, enhancing overall networkstability and reliability. IEEE 802.1Q VLANsegmentedbroadcast domains reducebroadcast traffic and increase LAN security andperformance. IEEE 802.3ad Link AggregationControl Protocol (LACP) increases bandwidth byautomatically aggregating several physical linkstogether as a logical trunk and provides loadbalancing and fault tolerance for uplinkConnections.

The DG-GS1510HPL supports CLI, Web, SNMPv1/v2c/v3, and Telnet management to providemultiple network management access. Theswitch supports a private MIB for detailedinformation. This switch also supports management functionsthrough both IPv4 and Ipv6.

Eight egress queues per port enablesdifferentiated management of up to eight traffictypes.Traffic is prioritized according to 802.1p or DSCP,giving optimal performance toreal-timeapplications such as voice and video.Asymmetric bidirectionalrate-limiting, per portor per traffic class, preserves network bandwidthand allows maximum control of networkResources.

Port Security allows access to a switch port basedon MAC address. This limits the total number ofdevices from using a switch port and protectsfrom MAC flooding attacks.IEEE 802.1X port-based access control ensuresall users are authorized before being grantedaccess to the network. User authentication iscarried out using a standards-based RADIUSserver.

Access Control Lists (ACLs) restrict access tosensitive network resources by denying packetsbased on source and destination MACaddresses, IP addresses, and TCP/UDP ports.ACLs are hardware supported, so switchingperformance is not compromised.Secure Shell (SSH) and Secure Sockets Layer(SSL/HTTPS) encrypts Telnet and web access tothe switch, providing secure networkManagement.IP Source Guard can be enabled with DHCPsnooping on trunk ports with a large number ofVLANs to filter and control IP traffic access to theNetwork.DHCP snooping provides security by filtering untrustworthy DHCPmessages and by building andmaintaining a DHCP snooping binding table.Dynamic VLANassignmentfor userauthentication and location-independent accessto the network.
