Epson Releases Its First “Epson Integrated Report”

EPSONSeiko Epson Corporation (TSE: 6724, “Epson”) has published the English version of its first “Epson Integrated Report.” The report is available on the company’s official website.

Companies are increasingly being evaluated—including as potential investments—based on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. Integrated reports have become a popular means of communicating to shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders a company’s ESG information, which indicates its sustainability as an enterprise, as well as quantitative financial information and information about its operations and strategies that reveal its future growth prospects.

The Epson Integrated Report provides information about the company’s essential customer value creation strategies for driving continuous business growth and about its ESG and other value creation infrastructure initiatives for business sustainability. The report introduces “Key CSR Themes,” a materiality matrix that was established in 2017 and is based on Epson’s Management Philosophy. It also explains the company’s strategic direction and initiatives for realizing its aspirations of becoming an indispensable company as stated in the Management Philosophy. As a materiality matrix, it lays out the social challenges that we see as being most significant to our business and to society.

Epson will use the Integrated Report as a new tool for communicating with stakeholders to foster greater understanding of the company’s activities and promote constructive dialog.
