- Where have you worked before joining ePRO?
Prior to joining ePRO, I was working with SIMMTRONICS SEMICONDUCTORS LTD, a leading Memory / Motherboard / VGA manufacturing company in INDIA and taking care of VIDARBHA & CHATTISGARH markets.
- What have been your career highs and lows?
Career lows, I’d yet to come across it. Career Highs, as on date I can say is the moment I got an opportunity to work as an RM (WEST) with ePRO. I’m confident that with ePRO’s trust & Santoshji’s faith and support, nothing is impossible and in coming days we’ll be doing wonders for sure.
- Which is the most important lesson that you have learnt in business?
IT Industry as per my knowledge is the most happening one and there’s always a chance to learn something new. During my tenure, I think few important lessons that I learnt are PATIENCE & PERSEVERANCE CAN OVERCOME OBSTACLES and at the same time HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. Also the most important one I think is HARD WORK IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS.
- Which individual do you admire in the industry and why?
Every individual carry some exceptionality and this space is not enough for me to name all of them whom I admire. But YES, I’m always thankful to all of them for supporting me time-to-time and helping me in my ups & down and also guiding me throughout my career to reach at this level.
- What major challenges have you faced along the way?
The major challenge I think I faced is - to maintain our partner’s confidence & trust and to help them earn good profits with continuous ups & down in the market.
- What products do you deal in and which among them is your trump card?
we’ve products in categories like CASINGS, KEYBOADRS, MOUSE, SPEAKERS, PCI CARDS, HEADSET, TV TUNNERS, UPS, E-NOTE, LAN CABLES, SWITCH, WEB CAM, DVD PLAYERS, DIGITAL PHOTO FRAMES, MP3 PLAYERS, HDD CASINGS etc.
- How is ePRO placed compared to its competitors in Central India?
ePRO, an MNC is considered to be one of the leading company worldwide, but with recent commencement in INDIA, there’s a-long way ahead and its quite bumpy. But under strong leadership and guidance of Mr. Santosh Bohra, we’re sure he’ll lead us to the APEX.
- How do you enable your channel to make them more profitable?
ePRO believes in giving quality products and also want partners to trust us on the same. A QUALITY PRODUCT along with ATTRACTIVE PRICES always gives you a chance to earn something extra. Besides traditional product-line, from time-to-time channel will find some unique products with ePRO.
- What are the promotional activities you are planning in near future?
To get ePRO reach at premium level, we’ve planned lot many promotional activities like Mass Media coverage (Paper & Electronic both), In-Shop branding, Hoarding activity, Conducting Seminars, Launching Lucrative Scheme etc.
- What is your strategy for the coming six months or one year?
As on date we’ve started our operations in MUMBAI, PUNE, NAGPUR & INDORE and in coming 1 year’s time we want to get our arms spread all across INDIA by means of appointing RD’s at all the locations and penetrating the entire market with there support. So, strategy is loud & clear. We want ePRO to be a well known and established brand in INDIA in coming 1 yrs time and at the same time want channel to understand what extra they’ll earn by concentrating on ePRO’s quality products.

Swapnil is a young energetic individual from Nagpur who started his career with QUICK HEAL TECHNOLOGIES P LTD ands still even after 5 years he is with quick heal which speaks volumes about his stability and performance unlike many others in this IT profession. It is no surprise that it is his Managing Director ‘Mr kailash katkar’ whom he admires most in the IT industry. “He is genius the way he handles pressures while working is remarkable “he exclaims.
Quick heal technologies mainly deal in Anti Virus products among many anti virus products Quick Heal Total Security is their trump card. Swapnil claims that in central India region “Quick Heal” is in No. 1 position with around 45% of total market share based on revenue and it is because of their approach to keep channel happy by giving them good margins. “Quick Heal” has a very transparent way of working which helps them in having healthy relationships with the channel. He advises his channel partners to be more cohesive and integrated on institutional or association platforms to grow and maintain healthy competition.
Swapnil has very simple philosophy of working he says “Never let competition rule your business. Do not assume competitors to be with low potential. Always be in positive frame and maintain Win-Win situation. “The biggest challenge Swapnil assumes in this fast changing world is to keep every customer happy and satisfied he tirelessly work for the same.
On the promotional front other than regular advertisements he prefers doing road shows and canopy activities at crowd places where direct interaction with customer happens and one gets an actual feedback. Swapnil is a Mechanical Engineer and has a strong affinity for I. C. engines. If not in IT industry he definitely would have been in Automobile Industry.

Prior to his current appointment with Samsung as a Area Sales Manager, Amit Patil was working with Ingram Micro. It was here in Ingram Micro he learned the tricks of the distribution business under the able guidance of Anil Warokar interestingly Amit started his career as an accountant with SES technologies but soon he got passionate about Sales And Marketing profession and today he is very happy having made that decision as he representing world most reputed brand SAMSUNG . In Samsung Amit is handling LCD TFT Monitor, ODD & Notebook Business and very proudly informs that “Samsung is no.1 brand in its entire category. We are No.1 in semi-conductor bizz. The current example is Mobile bizz. We are no.1 in mobile bizz also.”
On asked what in its view channel should do to achieve good growth he very categorically says that Channel should do value addition to their respective bizz. Just not do only box business should think beyond that for their growth. If they grow market will automatically grow in terms of Value & Volume. As regards to the products he deals in he always suggest his channel to focus on high-end products to earn a good margin. Like in TFT monitors and to focus on 22” & above screen category.
Amit is planning to expand its TFT and notebook business in near future and for that he is gearing himself up for doing various promotional activities like Road shows, Displaying products on Malls e.t.c he is very keen to do business with Non IT dealers also and in near future would be covering each & every dealer from non IT segment in respective cities of Vidarbha .
Amit has a very simple mantra for success he says that “If u want to win you should be honest, transparent & dedicated towards your work” .
Amit is very humble and kind hearted person and expresses his heartfelt gratitude to two different individuals in IT Industry Mr. Uday Kulkani and Mr Anil Warokar for giving him a chance to enter IT industry.
He is a commerce graduate and has done Diploma in Business Management also and is native of Nagpur . Besides working he has a great passion for technology, traveling & music. Loves holidaying at hill stations.

- What have been your career highs and lows?
Started my career with Finance Co & after 2 years of Work-ex moved into IT Industry. It’s been a great experience working with IT companies since them.
- Which is the most important lesson that you have learnt in business?
Developing & maintaining a very Positive & Healthy RELATIONSHIP with the channel partners is most important.
- Which individual do you admire in the industry and why?
Mr. Ganesh Pagay, ICIS Computers (I) Pvt. Ltd. has a very positive approach towards business & very cool personality in Industry.
- Given a choice which other industry apart from IT you would choose and why?
Automobile, It would be growing industry.
- What major challenges have you faced along the way?
Alignment of channel partners with distributor. Developing new Channel partners for new product line. Maintaining healthy relationship with channel partners.
- What products do you deal in and which among them is your trump card?
Canon is the Pioneer in Printing Technology. Our product lines include Laser printers, Laser All in One, PIXMA (Inkjet) printers, PIXMA (Inkjet) All in one, Scanner, Projectors. Laser printers are our trump card.
- How CANON is placed compared to its competitors in Central India?
Canon products have several unique features compared to competitors. We maintain strong service support thru our Canon Care Centers & Canon Authorized Service Centers. We also provide extended warranty support & AMCs to our customers.
- What, according to you, should the channels do to achieve good growth?
Exploring new opportunities & untapped market would accelerate the growth & profitability for the Channel.
- How do you enable your channel to make them more profitable?
Focus on Consumables would ensure repeat business for channel partners & A right product mix of Entry Level, Mid & High end products would make the business more profitable for the channel partners.
- What are the promotional activities you are planning in near future?
There are various activities planned. To start with 1st time ever Canon Image Express at Nagpur in Mid June. There are various promotions & schemes for Secondary channel partners, Original Ink Centers & customers.
- What is your strategy for the coming six months or one year?
Strategy would be maintaining our current momentum & expanding our reach in the channel & end customers, thru Promotions, Branding, Road Shows, and Participation in major IT events & best offering to our end customers.
